Register for PSTP

The University of Pittsburgh’s Physician Scientist Training Program (PSTP) is a five year program that provides highly qualified medical students with the opportunity to engage in basic or translational research. The program consists of the 4 years of medical school + a dedicated year of research between MS2 and MS3. Our students have an impressive record of matching at the country’s finest residency programs. Their world-class training results in national/international presentations and, on average, 3 publications per student.

Other benefits include partial tuition coverage, a generous stipend for the research year, and a vibrant student community.
