Pitt Med Research Experience for Pre-Matriculants (PREP)
About the Program:
The PREP Program provides highly motivated incoming Pitt medical students with an accelerated research experience in the summer before medical school matriculation. Students select a mentor with whom they would like to work and, in consultation with the mentor, develop a project appropriate for the duration of the PREP Program. The program will run for 8 weeks prior to the start of orientation. Research projects can be basic, translational, clinical, or health policy in nature. Who Should Apply:
Qualified applicants who have been accepted to the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and who have identified a mentor within the University of Pittsburgh Schools of Health Sciences will be eligible to apply.
When to Apply:
PREP application instructions will be provided in admissions packet.
